of the year &#8211; one of 3 timed mile races around Pavilion Gardens &#8211; a great event to allow athletes and coaches to track progress.\u00a0 Organised into 2 races the younger juniors and less experienced adults run in the first wave, while the adults and more confident juniors run in the second. 25 junior runners took part, with an outstanding 12 of them achieving Personal Best times, while 8 took part for their first time.\u00a0 Sam Soles was first junior back smashing his own course record by 3 seconds in a blistering time of 5.05 mins, He was followed by Stuart Diamond &#8211; 2nd knocking 6 seconds of his PB and Matt Scofield in 3rd &#8211; his first time.\u00a0 Helen Thornhill equalled the ladies course record of 5.35 in her first time taking part in the event.\u00a0 First junior girl was Ellie Wilson in a cracking time of 6.05 equalling her PB,\u00a0 followed by first timer Sienna Phillips and Amy Whelan.\u00a0 Also achieving personal best times were Ben Hawtin (17 secs), <span class=\"x_text_exposed_show\">Ed <a id=\"LPlnk263456\" class=\"x_profileLink x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/chris.hazelhurst?fref=gs&amp;dti=821813307837960&amp;hc_location=group\" rel=\"dialog\">Hazelhurst<\/a> (10 secs) <\/span><span class=\"x_text_exposed_show\">Luke <a id=\"LPlnk19722\" class=\"x_profileLink x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/sarah.guise.77?fref=gs&amp;dti=821813307837960&amp;hc_location=group\" rel=\"dialog\">Guise<\/a> (3 secs) <\/span><span class=\"x_text_exposed_show\">Matt Rolfe (13 secs) J<\/span><span class=\"x_text_exposed_show\">immy <a id=\"LPlnk855675\" class=\"x_profileLink x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/beverley.golden.5?fref=gs&amp;dti=821813307837960&amp;hc_location=group\" rel=\"dialog\">Golden<\/a> (16 secs) <\/span><span class=\"x_text_exposed_show\"><a id=\"LPlnk62672\" class=\"x_profileLink x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/abbie.fryerwinder?fref=gs&amp;dti=821813307837960&amp;hc_location=group\" rel=\"dialog\">Abbie Fryer Winder<\/a> &#8211; (12 secs) <\/span><span class=\"x_text_exposed_show\">Rachel <a id=\"LPlnk388891\" class=\"x_profileLink x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/joanne.cudahy?fref=gs&amp;dti=821813307837960&amp;hc_location=group\" rel=\"dialog\">Cudahy<\/a> (7 secs) <\/span><span class=\"x_text_exposed_show\">Molly <a id=\"LPlnk67537\" class=\"x_profileLink x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/beverley.golden.5?fref=gs&amp;dti=821813307837960&amp;hc_location=group\" rel=\"dialog\">Golden<\/a> (37 secs) and 4 year old <\/span><span class=\"x_text_exposed_show\">Hannah <a id=\"LPlnk893255\" class=\"x_profileLink x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/joanne.cudahy?fref=gs&amp;dti=821813307837960&amp;hc_location=group\" rel=\"dialog\">Cudahy<\/a> who knocked an amazing 1 min 42 off her personal best!!<\/span><\/p>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">The first race of the Derby Mini-League Track and Field was held on Saturday.\u00a0 This is a great low-key, fun event for the youngsters allowing them to have a go at Track and Field events.\u00a0 12 Buxton Juniors travelled to Moorways Stadium to have a go and all had a great time regardless of the wet and cold!!\u00a0 Lucy Whelan, Rachel Cudahy and Rebecca Cudahy all represented the club in the under 11 girls.\u00a0 Lucy ran the 80m sprint and threw a Howler Javelin &#8211; coming 6th position in both.\u00a0 Rachel ran the 600m and 150m coming 8th and 7th and Rebecca took part in the 600m and Howler Javelin coming 9th and 7th.\u00a0 Matt Rolfe and Sienna Phillips were taking part in their first Mini-League Matt coming 8th in both U11 600m and 150m, and Sienna really made the most the experience trying out a variety of events coming 7th in the U13 shot put and 100m and 4th in the 800m.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>Buxton&#8217;s rising Track and Field star Ryan Rawlinson achieved another personal best performance in his strongest event the 100m where he had an impressive win!\u00a0 He also achieved amazing 2nd place results in the 200m and 800m proving himself a real rounded running performer!<\/p>\n<div class=\"x_text_exposed_show\">\n<p>Louis White in his debut on the track put in an outstanding performance in the Discus to come in 2nd U15 boy.\u00a0 He also ran in the 100m and 200m finishing 7th and 8th.\u00a0 Buxton&#8217;s Abbie Fry-Winder and Amy Whelan both ran in the under 15 800m where Abbie ran a personal best to finish 3rd and Amy came in 7th.<\/p>\n<p>Also Buxton&#8217;s under 9 superstars of the future &#8211; Own Rawlinson, Georgia Cudahy and Hannah Cudahy battled it out in the 50m Fun Run.\u00a0 Owen ran his socks off to finish 2nd in his heat, 4 year old Georgia did amazingly finishing 4th with her sister Hannah encouraging her and gallantly ensuring Georgia crossed the line in front of her!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wednesday night Buxton AC held the first &#8220;Jim&#8217;s Dream On Mile&#8221;
