The second race in the Buxton Athletic Club Juniors Fell Championships took part as part of Tansley Hill Fell Race on Wednesday.\u00a0 A fabulous turn out of 16 Buxton juniors took part with excellent results all round!<\/p>\n
In the Under 8 race Jimmy Golden came in 8th boy\u00a0 with Lexi Thomlinson 9th girl.\u00a0 Henry Hazelhurst came 8th in the Under 10 race – earning top points in the Champs – followed by Matthew Rolfe in 10th and Liam Jones in 11th.\u00a0 The first medal was won by Molly Golden who was first Under 10 girl overall.\u00a0 A great turn out in the Under 12 girls race saw Grace Longden finishing in 2nd place, Sienna Phillips 4th, Lucy Whelan 6th, Rebecca Cudahy 9th and Esme White 9th.<\/p>\n
In the Under 14 category Buxton dominated with Will Longden winning overall, Louis White 3rd and Amy Whelan was first overall in the Under 14 girls category.\u00a0 Running in the gruelling 4 mile Under 16 race were Ellie Wilson and Heather Wilshaw.\u00a0 Ellie finished first overall – “chicking” the first boy into second place!\u00a0 Heather came third girl overall.<\/p>\n
