This weekend Haddon Harvey Stadium, Nottingham hosted the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire County Championships.\u00a0 A small but elite band of Buxton AC youngsters took part in the Championships bring home a haul of medals and Personal Best a plenty!<\/p>\n
On Saturday Ellie Wilson won the first in the U17 3000m – her first time competing at this distance – coming home in Bronze medal position.\u00a0 Next up was Amy Whelan who took part in the Under 15\u00a0 girls 100 m coming in 5th in her heat, and 6th in the 800m in a new PB time of\u00a02:42.66.\u00a0 Heather Wilshaw took a Bronze medal in the U17 High Jump with a new PB jump and a Silver medal in the U17 800m also with a new PB time!<\/p>\n
On the Sunday Buxton boys Ben Hawtin made his track debut in the U13 800m coming in 6th overall and Ryan Rawlinson put in a PB performance to come in Bronze medal position – beaten by the defending County Champion – in a new PB time of\u00a02:32.20.\u00a0 Ryan also had a great run in the 100m sprint gaining a Silver medal in an outstanding PB time of 13.72!<\/p>\n
