The annual race is always a great event with many spectators turning out to watch. The race is split into four legs. The first leg of the race was a 7.5km run with 450m of elevation.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4462\" src=\"http:\/\/buxtonac.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/IMG_9020-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Following that, leg 2 was a longer route (11.45km, 780m elevation) and was ran in pairs. Leg 3 was a navigation leg. This leg was similar to leg 2. The distance was around the same and the leg was run in pairs again. However, for leg 3 there was no flagged course \u2013 the runners had to navigate with a map given at the start of their leg instead. Leg 4, like leg 1, is around 7.5km in distance and rounds up the relay. Buxton\u2019s Will Longden set off to a great start. He ran the 7.5km course in 38.24mins and finished an impressive 7th overall.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4461\" src=\"http:\/\/buxtonac.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/IMG_9005-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Will handed the race over to duo Stu Diamond and Ben Light who ran the challenging course in a time of 1hr 18mins and placing Buxton in 19th place.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-4464\" src=\"http:\/\/buxtonac.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/IMG_9074-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"349\" height=\"232\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next out of the start was the navigation Buxton runners Dan Latham and Nick Jones. They completed their leg in a time of 1hr 33mins finishing in 49th.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4465\" src=\"http:\/\/buxtonac.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/IMG_9135-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4466\" src=\"http:\/\/buxtonac.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/IMG_9147-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The final leg of the day was run by Buxton\u2019s Andy Lidstone who completed the course in a time of 56mins.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-4467\" src=\"http:\/\/buxtonac.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/IMG_9170-158x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"158\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Overall, Buxton finished 65th out of 175 teams altogether.
