A new parkrun event has made its home in Pavilion Gardens Buxton!<\/p>\n
Pavilion Gardens parkrun is a free, fun and friendly weekly 5k community event and replaces the monthly Pavilion Gardens 5k. You can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it\u2019s up to you! parkrun is a positive, welcoming and inclusive experience where there is no time limit and no one finishes last.<\/p>\n
The event takes place every Saturday at 9am at The Pavilion Gardens, St John\u2019s Road, Buxton SK17 6BE. Every week we grab a post parkrun coffee at Pavilion Gardens Caf\u00e9 – please come and join us!<\/p>\n
If you or someone you know would like to be involved in a volunteer role, please get in touch with paviliongardens@parkrun.com<\/a> and put \u2018Volunteer\u2019 as the subject of your email.<\/p>\n If you\u2019d like to run, jog or walk the event, then simply turn up with your parkrun barcode just before 9am at the park entrance nearest The Argyle and look out for our friendly volunteers in hi vis. Haven\u2019t got a parkrun barcode? Getting one couldn\u2019t be easier. Just head to https:\/\/www.parkrun.org.uk\/register\/<\/a>\u00a0 and register with parkrun where you will be given a barcode which you can download and print or view on your phone.<\/p>\n Supporting clubs<\/strong><\/p>\n Clubs are very welcome to use parkruns to recruit new members \u2013 currently around 10% of parkrunners are attached to running clubs.<\/p>\n parkrun encourages and publicises local clubs at parkrun events through links on the parkrun event website and in other ways. In our experience, the presence of a parkrun generates increased club membership in your local area.<\/p>\n
