First from the club back in 4th place was Jason Brunnock. He was followed home by Paul Markall in 60th place followed by Bill McDonald in 70th. Photo Bill McDonald<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>At the 7-mile Cracken Edge Fell Race in Hayfield held in aid of Edale Mountain Rescue, Will Longden continued his great form winning the race in a time of 43: 10. Then in 7th place was Stu Diamond. Rob Lloyd was 15th followed by Sam Soles in17th place and Amy Whelan Amy Whelan 56th place, also taking 3rd lady. Buxton AC took men\u2019s team trophy.<br \/>\nJason Brunnock was the club\u2019s sole runner at the Tegg\u2019s Nose fell race finishing 3rd.<br \/>\nThere was a much larger turnout from the club at the Eccles Pike Fell Race, a short but tough 3.4-mile race from Buxworth straight up to top of Eccles Pike and back down.\u00a0 Again, Will Longden was 1st with time of 22.11 Sam Soles was 4th, Stu Diamond 7th, Rob LLoyd 8th, Grace Longden 30th also taking 3rd female and 1st junior female, Matt Nadin 87th, Pete Bailey 115th and with Tracy Gregory 123rd also finishing as 3rd Female vet over 55.<br \/>\nAt the Hob\u2019s Hurst Fell Race, a five-mile race on edge of Chatsworth Estate, Matt Nadin came 85th and Tracy Gregory was 136th.<br \/>\nBill McDonald took part in a 6 hour ultra race. Held over a 3.5-mile course, runners had six hours to complete as many laps\u00a0as they could manage. Bill managed to complete 9 laps within the time limit bringing his total mileage to 32.<br \/>\nFour of our juniors attended the Fell Running Association Junior Presentation.\u00a0 Although no trophies were won by the club this year, it proved to be a great championship for the club with over 20 juniors taking part in at least one of the six counter races and Buxton finished in 16th place out of 73 clubs with the under 17 girls team made up of Connie Jenneson and Rebecca Cudahy coming away with bronze.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It may be the summer holidays, but Buxton AC runners are still out competing.
